Welcome to the official website of the Fairfield County Police Training Officers Association (FCPTOA). Established in 1985, our association is comprised of training officers representing law enforcement agencies across Fairfield County and the state of Connecticut. With a membership spanning 40 diverse police departments, including municipal, city, environmental, transit, and state universities, our mission is to uphold the highest standards in police training.

Dedication to Excellence
FCPTOA is dedicated to ensuring that the training provided to police officers remains current, professional, and, above all, safe. Through monthly meetings, our department representatives collaborate to share training content, promote upcoming training classes, address pertinent law enforcement training issues, and foster robust networking relationships.

Training Initiatives
FCPTOA utilizes its resources to organize and host a range of training initiatives. Our annual weeklong Regional Review Training is a cornerstone event, offering essential credit hours for POSTC recertification to officers within our member agencies. Additionally, we offer a bi-annual Chief’s Recertification Training course tailored to the needs of executive-level positions.

Compliance and Accreditation
Collaborating closely with the staff at POST-C, FCPTOA ensures compliance and accreditation requirements are met for each participating department. Our association convenes on the first Tuesday of every month from September through June at various locations.
